STRIPIT is an AI-powered privacy protection platform that automatically removes your personal information from data broker websites, detects where your photos appear online, and monitors your social media for potential reputation risks.
Think of it as a full-time privacy team working in the background, without the cost of hiring one. We handle the tedious, ongoing work of protecting your digital identity so you don't have to.
Data brokers are companies that collect, package, and sell personal information about individuals — often without their knowledge or consent. They gather data from public records, social media, loyalty programs, app data, and other sources.
The information they sell typically includes your full name, home address, phone number, email addresses, age, income range, family members, property ownership, and more. This data is used by marketers, employers, landlords, and sometimes by scammers or stalkers.
There are over 4,000 data brokers operating in the US alone. STRIPIT actively monitors and removes your data from 500+ of the most widely used ones.
Yes, completely. STRIPIT operates within the bounds of US and international privacy laws. Data brokers are required by law to honor opt-out requests from individuals (especially under CCPA in California and GDPR in Europe).
STRIPIT submits these legally required opt-out requests on your behalf. We never use hacking, unauthorized access, or any other illegal methods — we simply use the same opt-out mechanisms that the brokers themselves are legally required to provide.
You can manually opt out of data brokers — but it takes enormous time and effort. Here's why STRIPIT is worth using:
When you complete onboarding and enter your personal information, our system begins scanning 500+ data broker databases for records matching your profile. For each match found, we automatically submit an opt-out or removal request using each broker's legally required removal process.
You can track the status of each removal request in your privacy dashboard, including how many are pending, in progress, and completed.
Removal timelines vary by broker. Generally:
We begin submitting requests immediately and typically see 80%+ of records removed within 30 days for active subscribers.
Yes — this is actually a very common problem. Data brokers regularly refresh their databases and your profile can re-appear even after removal. This is why ongoing monitoring is essential, not just a one-time removal.
STRIPIT continuously monitors for your data re-appearing and automatically re-submits removal requests when it does. This is one of the key reasons why a subscription service is more effective than a one-time opt-out.
We cannot guarantee 100% removal because data brokers are independent businesses that ultimately control their own databases. Some brokers have slow or inconsistent removal processes, and new brokers emerge regularly.
What we guarantee is that we will submit removal requests to every broker in our database and continuously re-monitor for re-listing. Our average removal rate across compliant brokers is over 99%.
Image detection is available on our Ghost tier. You upload photos of yourself (we recommend 3+), and our system runs reverse image searches across the web to find every place your photos appear — news articles, social media profiles, databases, and more.
For each match found, you can see the source website and request removal. Ghost tier members can also request our team to contact websites directly for removal.
Available on Premium and Ghost tiers. You provide your social media usernames (Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, Facebook), and our AI analyzes your recent posts to identify content that could pose professional or reputational risks.
Our AI looks for seven categories of concerning content: controversial opinions, unprofessional language, workplace complaints, inappropriate behavior, offensive humor, discriminatory content, and privacy violations.
Your social media feed is scanned automatically every 2 weeks and you're notified of any new flags.
